We have improved your Linewize block page with straightforward messaging and simple graphics.
The new Linewize block page is displayed anytime any user attempts to access content blocked with your schools policy.
The key difference is users will now need to click to know why their access is blocked and to see:
The Linewize block page does not require any changes to your current School Manager configuration.
We are planning future upgrades to the Linewize Block Page to provide more information to the block reason. For example when a student is blocked by a teacher's class policy. We are also exploring integration with our online safety hub content. For example, when a student is blocked from accessing gaming sites during school time, we can easily link to student content in your online safety hub that pertains to gaming.

Connect for Windows 3.6.1 is a significant release that has improved and stabilised the core filtering components, the upgrade and installation process with some exciting new features.
An important change is the upgrade and release process of our agents. Prior releases were made available to all customers in all regions. For customers in our School Manager platform, you have been assigned to release branches in your region. For example, Australian customers will be assigned to either General Availability - AU, Early Access - AU or Beta - AU. We will be progressively rolling out this release through each region and the branches. Customers in Beta branches will be first, followed by Early Access and finally, all customers on the General Availability release branch.
If you’re not a School Manager user, you have been assigned to the General Availability release branch.
The release schedule is:
Release 1: Wednesday 13th July
Release 2: Wednesday 20th July
Release 3: Wednesday 27th July
Release 4: Wednesday 3rd August

We will be removing Bandwidth Quota functionality from School Manager.
We are removing the Bandwidth Quota functionality as a majority of our customers stopped using it when they moved to learn-from-home models and switched to full-cloud deployments. These changes have made an on-network quota irrelevant. We have noted this as currently less than 2% of our School Manager customers have enabled the functionality for their physical networks.
If you currently use the Bandwidth Quota on your physical network, please contact your Linewize support team if they have not already been in touch with you.
The scheduled dates for the removal of the Bandwidth Quota functionality is:
We have also removed the Linewize User Downvote email feature due to low usage.

Welcome to Classwize 2022-005!
This release of Classwize features the new Screenshot History Report, a new reporting tool that lets you generate, view, and download reports of students’ browsing history as screenshots. Classwize now also lets you open Youtube videos in full-screen mode to avoid distraction.
The Classwize Screenshot History Report:
The Screenshot History Report is available for teachers whose students are using Connect for Chrome. To access this feature, contact Classwize Support (United States (844) 723-3932 | Australia 1300 687 052 | New Zealand 0800 445 206).
Class Ready YouTube helps students avoid distraction by opening videos in full screen, while hiding comments, pre roll ads, suggested videos, like/dislike buttons, and other elements that can take attention away from the lesson. Students can still pause or play videos, adjust volume levels or set video resolutions.
To access this feature, use the Open Site feature in Classwize via Class Tools, Student Tile or Live View. Paste a YouTube video URL, then toggle Open in Full Screen Mode and the video will open in a new tab and play in full-screen for the students.
This feature is available for students using Connect for Chrome, Windows, and Mac.
We’ve made a few improvements in the background to make Classwize work for you better:

This release of Classwize helps you better manage your class with an updated Pause Internet feature.
Pausing the Internet for students using Connect for Windows or Mac lets you stop them from browsing the Internet and still observe what they are doing offline.
When you pause the Internet for a student or the class, the “Internet Paused” indicator will appear on their student tile and Live View. This indicator tells you who is temporarily unable to browse the Internet.
