In this release of Classwize, we fixed a few issues with extending Monitor-only classes, notifications when students are modified in synced classes, and reconnecting Live View.
We’ve fixed a bug that could cause the Connect extension to stop working when you tried to extend a Monitor Only Mode class.
School IT administrators now receive email notifications when teachers modify students in synced classes. This fix now allows IT admins to make teachers’ updates permanent on School Manager and prevent overwriting of changes when syncing classes.
We’ve fixed an issue that prevented Live View from reconnecting automatically when restarting classes. Now, Live View reconnects automatically when you restart a class.

We added a filter to the Red Flags report. You can now focus on users with specific categories of Red Flags.
We added filtering to the Red Flags report to help school leadership and wellbeing staff find users who may need support for potentially inappropriate online behaviours. (We tidied up the icons and layout, too.) The combined improvements make it easier to understand which risk indicators are impacting individuals or groups of students.

This release of the Linewize Connect for Education Chrome extension includes new security features, improvements to Live View and Screenshots connections, and optimized performance and page load times for students.
Our new safety feature allows schools to stop users from signing into non-school Google accounts and domains, including users’ personal Gmail accounts.
IT administrators can create a list of official domains of the school, district, state, or approved providers, and any accounts that do not match these domains cannot log in. Support is coming for Windows and Mac.
We’ve optimized the way the Connect Chrome extension gets its filtering policy from the cloud, resulting in improved page load times and reduced CPU use when the policy is processed.
We’re extending our class management support to Smoothwall for our users in the UK.
We’ve fixed an issue with screenshots that caused rate limiting to switch on. Classwize now won’t take unnecessary screenshots, and Live View and previews within student tiles update more efficiently.
We’ve fixed an issue that caused Google Safe Search to enter a redirect loop. Google now displays Safe Search results as expected.

We’ve introduced a few improvements to Classwize by fixing a few issues with system incident alerts and Support display.
We’ve fixed a bug that prevented the System Incident banner from closing. The banner now closes when the user selects the Close icon.
The Support button within Classwize has been fixed. It will now display the contact details that the School has entered in the Classwize configuration page in School Manager.

The Student Journey Report is now integrated in Classwize. This highly requested feature is now available to approved teachers and allows approved teachers to generate reports on their students’ online activities within Classwize.
The Student Journey Report is comprehensive internet activity report for a single student that covers:
Classwize’s Student Journey Report only includes a student’s browsing history during the hours set as school time by your school or district’s IT department.
In Classwize, simply open a class and select BROWSING HISTORY > STUDENT JOURNEY, then fill out the Export dialog. The Student Journey Report will be sent by email.
Most reports will take less than a minute to generate and can be produced for the past 30 days. Reports including the previous hour will be available one hour after they are requested.
Only selected teachers can access the Student Journey Report feature in Classwize. Teachers who wish to use this feature should request permission from their school or contact their school’s IT administrator.
For Student Journey Reporting to become available in Classwize and for approved teachers, it must be enabled in School Manager. If the feature is not available for you, contact your school or district’s IT department.
We’ve added a few tips to the Create New Class feature by briefly explaining what teachers can do when they set new classes in Teacher Mode or Monitor Mode. We’ve also tweaked the dialog’s text for consistency and clarity.
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause teachers to delete a class instead of removing students or teachers in the Class Settings dialog. Teachers will now receive a prompt that asks them to confirm if they want to delete a class each time they click on Delete Class.
